About Us Brandon J. Smith – President Corporate finance strategies are Brandon’s emerging niche. As a corporate lawyer in Vancouver’s downtown Brandon has helped with the strategic growth of several developments including several hospitality installations and Licensee Retail Stores. Heritage Investment Properties Mortgage Fund represents the culmination of a year and half of strategizing how best to raise funds for the development of these four distinctive heritage properties in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island. When not at work Brandon enjoys all of Vancouver’s wonderful natural attractions with a special focus on SCUBA-diving and mountain-climbing. His first real love is nature and the beautiful natural environment surrounding his favourite city. Michael Bishop – Corporate Finance Mr. Bishop is a very recent addition to the HIP Trust management team. Graduating from Brock University with honours in Political Science and Philosophy, Michael has spent the past several years employed by one of Canada’s leading investment firms, guiding clients through the stressful investment process. He was an Aboriginal Achievement Award nominee in 2002. Paul Jacobs – Investor Relations Paul Jacobs was instrumental in the development of the Heritage Investment Properties Trust concept in 2005. His participation, intended as a complement to the development strategy of the Cambie Malone’s Group generally, has greatly assisted in bringing the Trust into existence and in smoothing the transfer from previous investment formats to the trust format. Paul keeps in touch with our investors on a regular basis and is in charge of investor relations for HIP. Having emigrated from Ireland in 1999 with his family after a successful career in manufacturing and property management, he is committed to Vancouver and is excited by the city’s potential, especially the 2010 Olympics. Paul is a board member of the Gastown Business Improvement Society and together with his wife Lynne and four sons lives happily on the North Shore of Vancouver. Sam Yehia – Chief Executive, Related Businesses Underlying the Heritage Investment Properties Mortgage Fund are a number of hospitality businesses with decades of success to their names. Sam has run a number of hospitality industry businesses, all with great success, but the Cambie Hotel in Gastown and the Malone’s brand – with locations both in Kitsilano and downtown at Seymour and Pender are the real jewels. The Cambie for instance, is listed time and time again as Vancouver’s #1 pub! When not seeing to the demands of the Cambie Malone’s Corporation Sam enjoys the West coast lifestyle onboard his boat or with his wife and children up in West Vancouver. We would also like to supply you with this in-house Labatt’s newsletter from September 2007. It elucidates some of the projects we are participating in from a perspective other than our own. We are proud to be associated with Labatt and look forward to our continued mutual growth. Download PFD Labatt's Newsletter >> |
